This workshop will help teachers who leads instrumental or vocal ensembles, school or community conductors and young orchestral musicians become better conductors. The workshop will bring together those who lead our music ensembles into a network of participants who can work together, share ideas, and critique each other in order to advance their skills and knowledge as leaders of musical groups. We will review basic and conducting techniques, approaches to score analysis, interpretative styles and philosophical approaches to conducting. Participants will be able to conduct a live orchestra during the workshop as in a masterclass.
