DESCRIPTION:*FREE EVENT* \nCalling all prima donnas and kids who sing\, play an instrument\, do karaoke\, busk\, make you-tube videos or just like to listen to cool sounds… \nEver been inside a recording studio? Do you wonder how the songs you hear on the radio or itunes are made? Now’s your chance. \nCome and tour one of New Zealand’s biggest purpose-built studios right here in Chch. Orange Studios has a fantastic vibe and their staff make it such a cool place to visit. Come and hang out with Michael and his team\, see how the place works\, where the musicians sit\, where we put the loud instruments and how each room is set up. \nSome things you will learn about are:\n• How the rooms are specifically built to make sure the music sounds great\n• How we get the best sound out of each instrument\n• What all the buttons on the sound desk do\n• How a recording session runs and who calls the shots\n• How after we record the music\, we work on it to make it sound even better! \nThe tour will take about 1 hour (depending on the questions that you ask) and costs nothing. The sessions are open to any child (between 6 and 14 years) who are interested in how the songs or music you love is made. Parents are welcome to attend with their prima donnas but please discuss this at the time of booking. \nPlease register your interest early – each session needs a minimum of 10 people and a maximum of 15 to go ahead\, so we need numbers as early as possible. One week before the sessions\, we will confirm session times in case any sessions are over or under subscribed. \nEmail your registration to charlotte@orangestudio.co.nz.
