DESCRIPTION:MENZA and the NZ Ukulele Trust present an afternoon of Music PLD\nSunday 30 June 2019\nAvondale College\, 51 Victor Street\, Avondale\, Auckland\nWorkshops from 1:00pm followed by the MENZA AGM at 3:00pm\nMENZA workshops are FREE for MENZA members\, first year teachers and students studying towards an education degree and $30 for non-members.\nClick here to register \nMENZA and the NZ Ukulele Trust invites you to join us for an afternoon of Music Education PLD with workshops for ECE\, Primary and Secondary teachers at 1pm\, followed by an opportunity to relax and network with colleagues over complimentary drinks and nibbles from 2:30pm and the MENZA AGM at 3pm. \nWorkshop Selection\nAll workshops will be held from 1pm – 2:30pm\, followed by complimentary drinks and nibbles and the AGM at 3pm. \nECE / Junior Primary\n‘Springboards’ with Deb Ferrier-Kerr & Robyn Trinick\nWhere do I start? Where to next? \nThis workshop offers opportunities for early childhood and  junior primary educators to explore a range of ‘starting points’ for initiating music learning experiences in centres and classrooms. A range of ‘springboards’ will be explored\, with possibilities for ‘growing’ ideas through listening\, moving\, singing\, creating and playing. \nPRIMARY\nKiwilele workshop with Maria Winder \nA practical workshop to experience and share  strategies for teaching the 2019 Kiwileles repertoire\, including a variety of Waiata\, Pasifika\, Kiwi Pop and other great music to enhance school singing. All Kiwileles’ arrangements include basic chords for beginners and more challenging strums\, riffs and instrumentals for experienced ukulele players. This workshop is FREE for Kiwilele schools.
