SUMMARY:Student Jazz Workshops
DESCRIPTION:The New Zealand Jazz Foundation provides exceptional musical experiences to young jazz musicians in New Zealand. The National Jazz Workshops bring New Zealand’s enthusiastic jazz students together with top jazz musicians and educators\, working on instrument techniques\, improvisation\, theory\, listening and ensemble performances. \nStudents 19 and under with at least one year of experience on an instrument\, are eligible.  \nDirectors: Rodger Fox and Dr. David Lisik \nThe NZ Jazz Workshops will be held at the New Zealand School of Music\, Victoria University of Wellington. \nACCOMMODATION: students will be responsible for their own accommodation. \nMEALS: Lunch for the five days will be available for purchase at several locations on campus. \nVisit “Register” at  to register online. Registrations will be accepted for the following instruments: trumpet\, trombone\, saxophone (specify: alto\, tenor\, bari)\, piano\, bass\, guitar\, drumset\, vibraphone\, clarinet\, flute\, voice. \nREGISTRATION: Applications are being accepted immediately and will be accepted until all places are filled.
