DESCRIPTION:Two Music Workshops for West Coast Teachers (both happening Saturday 1:00-4:00pm on 14 March at Hokitika Primary School)\n\nREGISTER HERE for WORKSHOP #1 – STRUM STRIKE & BLOW  – For teachers of Years 3-10 (1:00 – 4:00pm)\nIn this fun and engaging workshop we will play some music games and look at the basics of ukulele\, recorder and tuned percussion teaching. We will also look at some of the repertoire for the Strum Strike and Blow Festival\, an annual festival held in Christchurch in late August.\nPresenters:\nJudith Bell & Celia Stewart \nFREE for MENZA members (also for first year and student teachers) \n$30 for non-members (includes MENZA membership) \nREGISTER HERE for WORKSHOP #2 – Exploring Composition Hacks: How to create a simple composition in 10 minutes – For teachers of NCEA Level 1\, 2 & 3 (also 1:00 – 4:00pm)\nIn this workshop\, we will explore the composition hacks out there and Nanako will share some of the useful tools for teaching how to compose a piece of music in a multi-sensory way with the guided discovery method\, navigating less daunting creative composition tasks\nPresenter:\nNanako Sato \nFREE for MENZA members (also for first year and student teachers) \n$30 for non-members (includes MENZA membership)
