SUMMARY:Kerikeri - Exploring Music with Children (CANCELLED DUE TO COVID-19)
DESCRIPTION:Come and explore how music can be integrated into the everyday classroom using the multi-sensory Orff approach that benefits our children. Starting with a simple story or Ukulele song we will explore different ways in which we can use language to create music and movement. Enjoy this hands on approach to music and the arts. This will be useful for early childhood teachers and for teachers of the early years in primary school. Some of the ideas will also be adaptable for middle and upper primary school. Workshop facilitators are Maria Croucher and Christoph Maubach.\n\nThe workshop coincides with Kerikeri 200\, which will be celebrated on the same weekend in Kerikeri.\n\nYou can register here.
