SUMMARY:WOF - Wellington Orchestra Festival
DESCRIPTION:Thursday 29 June 9:15am – 2:45pm\nWOF – Wellington Orchestra Festival\n$80 MENZA members\, $100 incl. membership for non-MENZA members\nSt Oran’s College\, 550 High Street\, Boulcott\, Lower Hutt \nWOF is our opportunity to gather all of those students who learn an orchestral instrument together to realise and experience the wonders of playing in a full orchestra. Richard Oswin\, Christchurch\, arranges a pleasing repertoire of music for us every year\, and is there to guide us through preparations and performances on the day. Again\, music (6 pieces) is shared with teachers and students well before the event. There are options and various levels provided for some parts (eg. Violin 1\, Violin 2\, Violin 3 and Violin 4!!). School groups might practise together but it is also envisioned that students will work on their parts with instrumental tutors in their lessons.\nAs with WURM\, the WOF festival is intended for senior primary and intermediate students but older and younger students can also join in. We would love to welcome new schools to these and can assist in preparations so please be in touch. \nFor more information contact Mary Horner: MHorner@sbc.school.nz \nCLICK HERE TO REGISTER FOR YOUR CHOSEN EVENT(S)
