They are keen to share the process they used with others with the thought that it would enable others to apply this process in other contexts. \nPRESENTERS: \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n Robyn Trinick  \nRobyn is an expert and highly experienced teacher and presenter who works in teacher education at the University of Auckland. She is currently a national Kaiarahi for the current Ministry of Education Networks of Expertise venture. One of Robyn’s passions and her Masters degree focus has been the connection between music and language learning. For many years she has also made access to Maori language and culture an inspiring part of her teaching. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJacqui Williams \nJacqui Williams is a full time kindergarten teacher with a Bachelor’s degree in Teaching and Learning (Primary) and a Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Teaching. DESCRIPTION:Come and explore how to facilitate singing\, storytelling\, poetry\, movement and playing instruments in an integrated way into your classroom programmes. \nIn the April school holidays\, ONZA (Orff New Zealand Aotearoa) is offering teacher training 6-day courses in music and movement. This course is aimed at specialist and generalist teachers working in early childhood\, primary\, intermediate\, and lower secondary school and community settings. \nThese courses are a hands-on\, experiential\, and gentle introduction to the practices and principles of the Orff approach. Participants in this course can achieve ONZA certification at Level 1. Level 2 is also being offered for those who have completed level 1. \nThe Orff approach is characterised by the integration of speech\, movement\, and music with a focus on improvisation. Because of its integrated nature\, it works effectively alongside curriculum areas and boosts inquiry learning and gives opportunity to develop creativity in both the teacher and student. \n\nLevel 1 and 2 courses 20-25th April\nVenue:  Auckland University\, Epsom Campus\, Auckland.\nCost:  Members: $600   Non-members: $640 Students: $400 (Early bird fees before April 2nd\n\nComments from participants\n“The course was incredibly fun\, hands-on\, and it really allowed for equal participation and collaboration. This can be customised to meet the needs of the school and teacher\, and the support will occur within an agreed-upon timeframe.
