DESCRIPTION:In 2021\, we’re planning a special version of the New Zealand Jazz Educators Workshops. \nHolding the workshops July 9-11 will allow us to offer classes and activities exclusively for educators for three full days\, outside of the usual summer student jazz workshops. (It will also allow teachers to attend without taking up too much of your holiday time.) \nWe will have the NZSM Big Band One and student jazz combos on campus for demonstrations of jazz ensemble and combo rehearsal techniques. Designed for all classroom primary teachers of any level of music and digital technologies experience. Teachers will leave with ready to use ideas to meaningfully integrate music and digital technologies.  \nWorkshops will explore music and technology possibilities with \n\nBeatboxing & looping\nBeginners and extension workshops with Scratch\n3D printing of Taonga Pūoro\nMakey makey\, MicroBits\, Minecraft\, Abelton\nSorting Networks for  Music\, Legends\, Taonga Pūoro\nExperiencing Virtual Reality\n\nCOST – $85.00 incl. GST \nMENZA / TENZ Networks of Expertise are offering accommodation and travel support for 20 teachers to attend this conference. Priority will be given to early career teachers and those from remote areas. To be eligible\, teachers must be either a member of MENZA or TENZ.
