Musicnet Summary 18 March 2019

Kia ora tātou

Last week Helen from Computer Music formally announced the closure of her company. I know many of you will have contacted her individually, but I wish to thank her for the time she has spent supporting music education over the last decade. Although it was her company, and business, she has been generous with her time for many teachers. I wish her all the best in her next steps.

The bi-annual MENZA 19’ conference has been launched. It’s on October 7-9 October in the Christchurch CBD. If you have never been, book a meeting with your Principal today to discuss how they can support you getting there. Here’s what you can do today.

  • Register early and apply for a travel subsidy
  • Submit a workshop or presentation – or suggest this to someone you’d recommend! (Presenters still need to register to attend to the conference).
  • Apply to bring a performance group
  • Pass this onto lots of music teachers….
