Musicnet Summary to 2 Aug 2019

Kia ora tātou

Last week I was privileged to take part in the Invercargill MENZA workshop in conjunction with the MoE and NZQA. It was the first time that MENZA, or NZQA has delivered any music specific professional learning in Southland since the Regional Arts Partnerships of 2016.  Thinking about that, I feel like I have seen more professional development around the country, than in the last 4 years. Particularly events outside of Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. I am really encouraged by the collegiality I have seen in the workshops I have been part of this year, and also for those teachers willing to set aside a day to learn and reflect on what they do.

Welcome to the new members to Musicnet who have joined in the last 2 weeks. Details for posting messages and changing your email are included at the bottom of every one of these weekly summaries. A reminder to email your messages to musicnet@lists.tki.org.nz  and NOT musicnet-request@lists.tki.org.nz . A subtle difference between them, but it means I have to double-hand it to forward it to the list.
