ISME invite to doctoral students for feedback opportunity & invite to join ISME History of Music Education network

Dear MENZA members,

The ISME History Standing Committee will be holding a 90 minute mentoring session for History of Music Education doctoral candidates at the upcoming global conference in Montreal in July. For the session, the plan is to have five research presentations with feedback given from HSC scholars.

Interested doctoral students who are planning to attend the conference should email Dr Malcolm Cole at president@asmeqld.org.au with paper title, author name and affiliation, research abstract (100-150 words), and brief bio (100-150 words). The 15-minute presentations will be 5-minutes description of the paper, then 10-minutes for suggestions and discussion. These can be works in progress, based on theses or dissertations (or chapters), articles in process, seminar papers or the like.

Expressions of interest should be forwarded by the end of April.

Dr Malcolm Cole

P.S. If any members are interested in joining a yet to be formed ISME History of Music Education network for Australian, New Zealand, Pacific and Oceania nations, please email Malcolm at president@asmeqld.org.au
