Musicnet Summary 24 May 2019

Kia ora tātou

Around NZ today there are students striking for Climate Change, and next week many teachers will be striking for the PPTA claim.

Another way to help change happen is to be part of the national organisation of Music Educators. MENZA organises our bi-annual conference, PLD events around the country, the Tune Me In Magazine, lobbies government for the support of the arts, and like all great organisations, is bound by a constitution and thus must hold an Annual General Meeting. This year, it’s on the 30th June in AKL, and we are holding three workshops prior to the AGM. If you’re able to, I’d encourage you to think about joining MENZA, joining the board, or making it to the AGM or the Conference in CHCH in October.
