Musicnet Summary to 21 Feb 2020

Kia ora tātou

Summary to 21 Feb 2020

Hook-line-and-sing-a-long entries are now open for 2020. Students can submit songs as individuals or groups and I know they have had entries from ranging from Year 4 through to Year 12s doing it as a NCEA task. Listen to some of the previous entries here

The NCEA review is probably not far from many secondary teachers’ minds as we look towards changes in the next few years.  The current round of review is here, and I would encourage you all to keep up to date with what is happening. I’ve had conversations with teachers who unfortunately missed the earlier surveys on NCEA amongst the busyness of school. It is vital NZQA hear from all parts of our music education community.
