There are two positions vacant on the Music Education New Zealand Aotearoa board from the June AGM.

It will begin with primary/intermediate/secondary workshops, followed by refreshments and the AGM.
Workshops:
Primary – Makaira Waugh: The workshop will be a hands-on exploration of language-based rhythm and melody patterns from the legend of Kupe and Te Wheke-a-Muturangi and the discovery of Aotearoa.
Secondary: Delysse Glynn will present. She is the National Assessment Moderator for NZQA, and prior to her role, was a music teacher just like you. Delysse has a wealth of knowledge as has oversight for all of the internal assessments moderation. It’s a chance to ask her questions, clarifications and advice on your assessment of students

Also notifying the proposed constitutional change to section 7 (a) (i) to be voted on at the AGM.
Number of Board members.
Currently: Nine elected members.
New amendment suggestion: Twelve elected members with a minimum of three members representing tangata whenua.
