MENZA is looking for a new administrator. The key purpose for this role is to provide overall administration support for MENZA activities. The ideal person for this position would be enthusiastic, efficient, able to work independently and have a proven track record in administration, including financial management.  They must be proficient with basic software packages – ideally Google Docs, database management programmes, and Xero – have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be friendly, approachable and flexible. Ability in website maintenance, or a willingness to lean basic WordPress skills also desirable. Experience in the arts / not-for-profit / education sectors and making funding applications would be an advantage. The job is for 8 hours a week but these are flexible depending on key MENZA events. The successful candidate would work from home attending meetings via Google Hangouts and 2-3 meetings a year in either Wellington or Auckland (travel subsidised). Location is flexible.

Tasks will vary week to week but may include;

  • Taking and distributing minutes of meetings
  • Sending and receiving correspondence
  • Managing general enquiries
  • Maintaining database
  • Admin support for MENZA regional coordinators
  • Managing invoicing and MENZA fee payments (automated)
  • Distributing member pack to new MENZA members
  • Ensuring records are current and well maintained in google drive
  • Monitoring all invoices from MENZA events.
  • Actively seeking advertisers for magazine / website and overseeing funding applications
  • Reporting to Board on financial matters including preparation of End of Financial Year Accounts
