In 2021, we’re planning a special version of the New Zealand Jazz Educators Workshops.
Holding the workshops July 9-11 will allow us to offer classes and activities exclusively for educators for three full days, outside of the usual summer student jazz workshops. (It will also allow teachers to attend without taking up too much of your holiday time.)
We will have the NZSM Big Band One and student jazz combos on campus for demonstrations of jazz ensemble and combo rehearsal techniques. Every day will be filled with discussions, questions, and demonstrations (and some festive meals out) that will be valuable to your work with your own students and ensembles.
