Ableton Teacher PD workshop

As part of a wider set of global events, Ableton’s Education tour comes to Massey University in Wellington on Friday April 12 9am-3pm

As part of the NZ leg of this tour, Ableton are running a day of teacher professional learning workshops  facilitated by Matt Ridgway (Ableton’s Education Specialist for Australia and New Zealand) and Martin Emo (NZ Ministry of Education).

Participants will:

  • Access Ableton Live Intro for their school for free via the Ableton for the Classroom initiative
  • Identify how using Ableton Live supports the integrations of digital technologies in their school
  • Explore concrete strategies of how to engage young music-makers in their classroom
  • Understand the ways in which music is created by digital music-makers
  • Learn essential Ableton Live classroom tips and tricks from highly experienced educators
  • Access classroom resources and projects
  • Understand how digital music-making practices link to Level 1 NCEA

Location:

Hihi (1D12), Block 1, Massey University

Hihi (1D12) is a computer lab on the second floor of Block 1.

Block 1 is easily accessed from Entrance C on Wallace Street, Mount Cook.

There’s public transport close by, with the 3, 18, and 27 bus line running within 100m of the block.
