A new DAW free for NZers, built for beat making and DJ producers. Presented by DJ OP! (New York) and Martin Emo.
New York-based DJ OP! will present a practical workshop on how the DAW Serato Studio can specifically on meet the needs of students that come from a beat-making to make music in your class. Using a relatively new (major updates occurred at the start of this year) NZ-created software, by the DJ company Serato. Co-hosted by Martin Emo, this workshop outlines possible different pathway for how to teach producers (or budding producers). This workshop will demonstrate two or three different ways that students can make a track from scratch with the world-wide producer DJ OP! currently based in New York. Martin will bring in the connections with the NZ Curriculum, and also indicate future connections with new NCEA.
