I wanted to invite your MENZA members to join thousands around the world in singing on World Singing Day (Oct. 17). This annual event that takes place around the world on the third Saturday in October is for everyone — singers and “non-singers” alike — to build community and celebrate our common humanity.
New Zealand is one of the few places on earth right now where people can gather in public to celebrate WSD, but most of the world will most likely not be able to gather in October so this year it will be more of an online, virtual experience.
Here are some things people will be doing on, and before, WSD this year:

This year’s 9th annual World Singing Day (WSD) global sing-along on the 17th of October will look a little different in most places due to the pandemic this year. It’s going to be a global singing party online. Like New Year’s Eve but with tons of singing!
