The NZ Concert Bands Association is proud to announce a world first. In August 2016, we will be celebrating the very first Band and Orchestra Month. The month will celebrate and promote community and school concert, jazz and orchestras of all levels.

Do you like to sing? Come find out about our outreach singing workshops. The Music Outreach Principle focuses primarily on shared, social music-making as a means of promoting well-being, encouraging participation and developing musical skills and knowledge. Outreach Singing enables groups within schools and the wider community to share their music with others, encouraging on-going participation.

This year, MENZA brings two acclaimed international guests to Dunedin for some exciting Music PD workshops: Music Technology Consultant Katie Wardrobe will focus on fun and easy ways to incorporate technology into the music classroom, while Associate Professor Susan West from the Australian National University in Canberra will introduce the practice and theory of the Music Engagement Program for teachers.
