Closing date for NZSSSO applications

October 20, 2017 @ 5:00 pm

Applications for the 2018 NZ Secondary Schools Symphony Orchestra (NZSSSO) course opened on the 1st September 2017.

NZSSSO provides a wonderful opportunity for our talented secondary school orchestral musicians from around New Zealand to gather together to prepare and perform full scale works to a very high standard; as representatives of their schools. It is widely recognized as a significant training ground for young players aspiring to membership of the NZ Youth Orchestra. I hope you will encourage your senior students to visit our website, and consider putting forward an application.

Online application and audition recordings must be received on or before the 20th October 2017.

The applicant will need to fill in an online application and provide a recording of themselves playing both the orchestral excerpts (which are now available on the website) and a solo item (this can be an existing NCEA recording)

Full course information, audition details and application forms please visit,   www.nzssso.com
