It’s the last day of term. I hope you all enjoy a great break after the very long term 1+2. 

 

My short nationwide survey for my PHD research on music education and digital technology is out. I’m really hoping for completion rates of over 200 teachers so need as many of you that are secondary classroom music teachers to fill it out over the next few weeks. Please see the original email for the full information and ethical considerations. 

 

The MENZA Networks of Expertise has funding available for YOU! Want to run a network group of teachers in your area or online? Develop a resource with some others or by yourself? Run a workshop or be a mentor? Apply here before the 17th July.

Secondary 

Some great ideas for Level 3 group performance were shared. 

Timoti asked for help moderating NCEA and I saw at least 5 teachers respond. Well done Musicnet!

 

Professional Development and Events

The School of Music at Auckland University has a new Postgraduate Diploma in Music education. 

The 2nd module of the NZ School of Music Young Musicians Programme is starting on the 18th July. Jazz, Composition, Chamber ensemble, and Classical group classes.

Weaving the cultural perspectives into Pūoro on 9th Oct in AKL.
