MENZA will be hosting PLD Workshops for ECE, Primary and Secondary teachers with an interest in music, followed by and opportunity to network and meet colleagues over drinks and nibbles at 2:30pm, with the MENZA AGM to be held at 3pm.
This workshop is designed to give teachers confidence and musical ideas for the Primary classroom using Orff Instruments, marimba, xylophones, voice, ukulele, percussion and hand chimes. Fun, practical session.
This workshop will introduce the key concepts of a curriculum design model currently being trialled in a number of New Zealand schools. The aim of the workshop is to engage with the high level of teacher autonomy available in New Zealand by encouraging renewed thinking about curriculum design in its broadest sense rather than in relation to assessment.
Participants will engage in fun educational experiences which are successful and inspiring for preschool children. This workshop includes live music experiences which appeal to children's imaginations and creative response through singing.
