As part of Music Therapy Week The Raukatauri Music Therapy Centre warmly invites year 12 and 13 students to come and speak with registered music therapists about who they work with, the settings they work in, and what music therapy is. Student music therapists will also share about training in NZ and internationally.
Since its inception in 1959, the National Youth Orchestra has played a vital role in providing unique opportunities for the country’s most gifted young orchestral performers, many of whom have gone on to forge successful careers as orchestral players, soloists, chamber musicians and teachers.
Join fellow musicians from around New Zealand and overseas for six days of stimulating and enjoyable musicmaking in Wellington, New Zealand’s cultural capital.
Strum, Strike and Blow features hundreds of students playing marimbas, ukuleles and recorders in the Horncastle Arena. It has a workshop all day in the arena from 9.30am followed by the concert at 7pm complete with live backing band. Details are on the website: http://strumstrikeblow.org/
