MENZA will be hosting PLD Workshops for ECE, Primary and Secondary teachers with an interest in music, followed by and opportunity to network and meet colleagues over drinks and nibbles at 2:30pm, with the MENZA AGM to be held at 3pm.

MENZA Networks of Expertise presents a music education PLD day for southland secondary teachers
A Music Education PLD Day for Primary and ECE teachers with all levels of music education experience. Featuring the ‘Music Outreach Programme’ and ‘Springboards’ – where to start and how to build your music education programme.
This workshop explores traditional and modern Chinese songs with the focus on enriching the musical experience of your students with appropriate vocal techniques, affirming the culture of your Chinese students, or introducing Chinese culture to your Music class. No experience of Chinese learning is required.
This workshop will provide training in creating a curriculum and assessment plan for students in a rural school. Music and Performing Arts standards will be included in a framework, with key insights into combining assessments, marking boundaries, and re-assessment tips.
