MENZA Curriculum Feedback Session Summary:
Stephen led a MENZA Hui focused on gathering sector feedback on the Phase 5 Music and Music Technology curriculum, specifically for Years 11-13. He presented the curriculum structure, which includes five strands: Fundamentals of Music, Making and Creating, Music Industry, Music Production, and Live Sound and Event Technology. The group discussed key aspects including technology access, progression between strands, and integration of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Māori elements. Participants were encouraged to provide feedback through a shared document by July 8th, with additional opportunities for in-person discussions at upcoming events in Auckland.
